Auto antibodies against PCNA (Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen) are specific for systemic lupus erythematosus. Even though the prevalence is reported quite low, (only 3%~7%), this is almost 100% specific for SLE. Further PCNA in SLE patients is associated with Renal involvement, CNS manifestations andthrombocytopenia.
